Sometimes the people that you have the strongest connection with can say or do things that really hurt you. They put those words or actions all under the guise of love and honesty. Never thinking about how those words or actions may make you feel inside.
They believe they know you. Know what you feel, and why you are going through what your going through. They believe that they know your full story, because hey they're the closest person to you. They know your truth better than you know you're own. Or so they believe...
You know what hurts? When you try, but the ones closest to you tell you, you don't. Tell you you're not doing enough. That your efforts are minimal, and in their eyes, in a way you're a failure. When you try to express yourself they stop you with lectures as to why you have your feelings, and somehow make you feel subordinated by their views.
So you start to analyze their words. Taking in their criticisms like air. Thinking your efforts mean nothing. Looking at your life through their eyes and not your own. That's the problem right there. Stop it! Stop it right now!
Listen, no one knows you better than you and your CREATOR. No one knows the real you, but you! Your efforts no matter how small they seem to others are amazing! Why? Simply because you did what others have not. You had a vision and brought it to life.
You don't have to dance to everyone else's drums. Nor conform to their expectations. If you can't share your feelings with people who will just simply listen, and give advice that uplifts. Darling, keep them to yourself. Write them down and ponder over them with all of your heart, soul, and spirit until you gain wisdom, clarity, and peace.
Reinvent the way you think, move, and act towards people. Love them, but never allow their viewpoints to stop you from believing in you. You wanna know something? Most often, even the closest people to you won't respect, appreciate, or celebrate you until you're name is shining bright in lights, and money is falling out of your pockets. Even then it may be fake.
So...be your own cheerleader. Know your truth, accept it, and move forward. Step away from those who cause you more mental and emotional harm than good. It's okay to love from a distance. Cause words hurt. They really do. They have the power to either give life or death. Stop allowing negative words to bring death to your visions, your dreams, and your pursuits.
Keep walking, running, leaping, and reaching. Do it regardless of what others may think or say. Sometimes those who judge us harshly, have yet to look in the mirror themselves, so what they have to say...well...it really doesn't even matter.
Don't spend your time trying to prove anything to them. You could prove yourself a million times, and it will never be enough. Some people will still find negative things to say.
So...just live guys. Celebrate each victory no matter how great or small. Live and believe in you. That's all you can do. That's all that's required.
